About Speed Skating :

Speed skating is a competitive form of ice skating in which the competitors race each other in travelling a certain distance on skates on a 400m ice track.

The 400m course distinguishes the “in” course from “out” course. A team of two skaters are supposed to change lanes in a specified section in every circle, with the skater that started in the “out” course coming to the “in” course and vice versa.
