Russian Athletes at the 2018 Winter Olympics

Russia officially known as the Russian Federation is a sovereign country in Eurasia. Moscow is the capital of Russia.

Russia has been taking part in the Winter Olympics since 1994.

Russia will once again compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea from 9 to 25 February 2018.

Due to the Russian doping controversy, the International Olympic Committee will only permit certain Russian athletes to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea under the designation Olympic Athlete from Russia (OAR).

So far, Russia has participated in 6 Winter Olympic Games, and has won 45 Gold, 32 Silver and 34 Bronze medals.
